The Best Wedding Day Shoes for the Bride

Choosing your wedding day shoes is an important (and fun!) part of wedding planning. As you search for the perfect shoe to walk down the aisle in, there are several things to consider. Naturally, you want to choose a shoe that reflects your bridal aesthetic and speaks to your personal style. However, you should also be sure that you can walk easily in your shoes and that you are going to be comfortable being on your feet for hours on end.

Many of our brides ask me where they should look for their dream wedding day shoes. You can always head to the mall and try on a bunch of different options at the department stores, but if shopping online is more your style (or if you just want to do some research so that you know what to look for), I've got you covered with an extensive list!

PS - All of the below photos are shoppable links. You're welcome! 😉

Splurge-Worthy Wedding Day Shoes

If there was ever a day to splurge on a pair of shoes, it's your wedding day! Channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw and get ready to swoon over these cuties.

Loeffler Randall Natalie Pearl Platform Bow Heel

I am in LOVE with these super cute bow heels from Loeffler Randall! These are perfect for the classy, yet whimsical bride. You could also wear these to a bridal shower or engagement party!

Jimmy Choo Embellished Block Heel Sandals

If you have champagne or gold accents in your color palette, these heels are the perfect addition to your wedding day wardrobe! They also come in black if you really want to make a statement.

Christian Louboutin Embellished Ankle-Tie Sandals

To me, Christian Louboutin screams luxury! There's nothing like those red-bottomed heels to make you feel fabulous on the most important day of your life.

Freya Rose Celina Heels

BHLDN by Anthropologie makes some of the cutest wedding day shoes! I highly recommend that you shop around on their website. These Freya Rose Celina heels are some of my favorites!

Jimmy Choo Satin Embellished Heels

Rounding out my top splurge-worthy wedding day shoes list are these Jimmy Choo satin embellished heels. The diamond ankle detail is soooo gorgeous! These are perfect for the elegant, modern bride.

Cute and Comfortable Wedding Day Shoes

I find that most of my brides are looking for comfortable, cute shoes for their wedding day. They don't necessarily want to spend $1,000+, but they also don't want to walk around in cheap shoes all day (because, trust me, your feet will feel it!). These are some of the best wedding day shoes for those of you who want to be comfortable AND fashionable!

Dolce Vita River Pearl Heels

A shorter block heel provides the ultimate comfort for your wedding day. And how cute are these little pearl details?! I love these Dolce Vita shoes!! They look like they would be super expensive, but they are only $125.

Badgley Mischka Kim Sandals

This ivory satin heel with the tulle bow on the back is soooo cute! The block heel and thicker strap around the toes makes this shoe very comfortable for longer wear.

Kate Spade Rosa Pearly Stud Ankle-Strap Sandals

Pearl-studded heels are definitely in style right now, and these Kate Spade sandals are an affordable way to achieve this aesthetic.

Sam Edelman Kia Block Heel

These Sam Edelman block heels come in TONS of different colors if you are looking to spice things up! I love the classic white or nude for a wedding day, but they also have a gorgeous light blue if you are still looking for your "something blue."

Loeffler Randall Dahlia Knotted Sandals

If you loved the Loeffler Randall heels in the splurge section but don't want as high of a heel, try these Dahlia Knotted Sandals! They are the perfect sensible heel!

Lulu's Ollie Champagne Satin Rhinestock Ankle Strap Pumps

Lulu's is a great place to shop for bridal wear, bridesmaids' dresses, and your wedding day shoes! These champagne rhinestone heels are stunning.

Something Blue Wedding Day Shoes

If you are still looking for your "something blue," perhaps you could find some blue bridal shoes! This is a great way to achieve that pop of color without it being too distracting to your overall look.

Manolo Blahnik Hangisi 90

This is definitely more on the splurge side... but I can't help myself! These Manolo Blahniks are so gorgeous and the perfect "something blue." They also come in a beautiful velvet royal blue.

Freya Rose Celina Blue

Another perfect pump. This shoe makes me want to get married again just so that I can wear it!

Badgley Mischka Tasmine Ankle Strap Sandal

I love the shimmery affect of these sandals! The blue isn't too overpowering, so unless you took a close look, you wouldn't even notice that this shoe is actually a lighter blue.

The Best Reception Shoes for the Bride

Once you have officially married the love of your life and taken allllll of the wedding day photos, it's time for the reception! I always recommend that my brides bring a change of shoes for the reception, especially if they are wearing heels all day long. Trust me, no matter how used to heels you are, your feel will be tired by the time you hit the dance floor!

Golden Goose Pure Star Lace Up

If you were looking for an excuse to finally get Golden Goose sneakers... this is it!!!

Keds x Kate Spade Glitter Sneakers

These sparkly sneakers are for the bride who loves to be in the spotlight!

Loeffler Randall Daphne Flats

On a scale from 1 - 10, how much do you think I love Loeffler Randall?! LOL... I know I've included so many of their shoes in this guide, but I can't help it - they are the best! These Daphne flats are the perfect reception shoe.

Christian Louboutin Vieria Platform Red Sole Sneakers

If Golden Goose isn't your style, you make like these Christian Louboutin red-soled platform sneakers instead! I can see the photos now... you HAVE to highlight these in your night shots with your photographer!

Dolce Vita Ivee Sandals

I swoon over these Dolce Vita sandals! How stinking adorable are these?!
